Hello Everyone i just finish to build my PC and tried to do the first boot. Here is the config if needed https://pcpartpicker.com/list/83NG6D CPU Intel Core i7-14700KF 3.4 GHz 20-Core Processor CPU Cooler Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler Motherboard ASRock Z790 PG LIGHTNING ATX LGA1700 Motherboard Memory Patriot Viper Venom 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6400 CL32 Memory Storage Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive Video Card Gigabyte AORUS MASTER GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16 GB Video Card Case Cooler Master HAF 500 ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply Corsair RM1000e (2023) 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply the first time i got a black screen so after looking on internet i tried with another screen (A samsung TV) and managed to access the bios and see it was ther version 7.02 Since it appears that the BIOS version is too old for the CPU i shut down the computer and downloaded the update on an USB key on the ASRock website. after that i tried to start the computer again but now no matter how i tried i don't have any display anymore about the post status checker light when i turn on the computer i always got the following behavior DRAM light turn on (all other are turned off) then DRAM Light turn off and VGA light turn on then boot light turn on and i got boot and VGA light on for a few seconds then all Post status checker light turn off because my phone camera make the lights so blurry i can't see which light is on here a little schematic representation of the lights (o for turn on, x for turn off) x Boot x CPU o DRAM x VGA after 6 or 7 seconds x Boot x CPU x DRAM o VGA after 2 or 3 seconds o Boot x CPU x DRAM o VGA and finally after 5 to 7 seconds x Boot x CPU x DRAM x VGA

The system is starting up normally but isn't displaying an image. It seems the BIOS might not support the 40 series GPU anymore, possibly due to outdated revisions. Try flashing back to a different BIOS version. If you're using the latest BETA, adjust the BIOS revision to match older versions (e.g., 10.05 → 9.01 or 8.07).

I tried various methods to get it working (switching screens didn’t help, but connecting to the GPU’s HDMI port instead did), and I’m now installing the 10.05 OS I downloaded (though I didn’t specify the exact version, so I went with the latest stable one). The installation of the new BIOS is complete, allowing me to proceed with the OS setup. Thanks for your prompt reply!
