Diablo III
Diablo III
He younger sibling has been asking me nonstop for a while now. I revisited Diablo 1 and 2 back then but never really dived into 3. Is this game worth trying or buying? If I recall correctly, Diablo 2 had two expansions—would 3 follow if that’s true? Considering my current play with FF14, which is quite demanding, I don’t have much time to dive in unless it’s a weekend. These kinds of games suit my schedule well because I can jump in and out for about 15 minutes without stress. Unlike many long-running titles like Dota 2 or League of Legends, which require finishing sessions for at least an hour, this one fits better into my busy routine.
You've just begun playing Diablo 3 and are finding it quite enjoyable.
I really enjoy Diablo 3. I play it often and find it enjoyable to simply explore and progress. The farming and character development aspects add value. There are many engaging builds introduced in season 4, though some are more impressive than others, but they’re all entertaining. Feel free to ask about a level around 70 or if you prefer story mode—I know what you mean. Overall, it’s a fun game, though it can get repetitive at times. I strongly suggest playing with friends for the best experience.
It brings back memories of those early days. I realized why I wanted to give it a try—those single-player experiences are what I miss most. It's been eight years now, and I've been enjoying co-op, multiplayer, and MMOs. Social games are fun, but I long for the solo adventures. The question is: do you get unique moments only when playing with friends, or can everything be enjoyed on your own?
D3 comes with a lot of problems... but if you locate it and its ROS is available at a reasonable price, it’s definitely worth it, particularly to discover what happens next. Most of the issues in the game are only present at the end of the story, so unless you plan to spend time grinding for gear and paragon stages once you hit level cap or complete your first run-through, you’ll miss out on most of them.
I think it's better to hold off until we find a better deal on both items.
Each title includes one expansion. The first had HellFire, Diablo 2 featured Lord of Destruction, and D3 offers Reaper of Souls. In my opinion, if you want it, you definitely need RoS—it’s essential for a great experience, though it’s incredible and worth adding.
Are there other authorized platforms offering it online besides Blizzard? It seems Blizzard’s price is $39.99 USD, but perhaps another site might have a lower cost. I’m not focused on purchasing games outside Steam or physical copies.
