If you're looking for something you'll enjoy for a long time, Diablo 3 is the way to go. For a fresh experience with a new twist, Until Dawn is a great choice.
I've been playing Diablo III on PC for a while, but many friends switched to the console version because they like the feel of using the controllers. It's a game you can easily pick up or put away whenever you want, without losing track of how to play. I definitely suggest it.
I enjoyed watching Until Dawn unfold, but playing it feels different—it's more like an interactive film than a game. For D3, if you manage to locate it and the RoS expansion at an affordable price for PC (such as on G2A or similar sites), then get the version. The constant online DRM isn't usually an issue these days, unless you're in an area with poor internet speed.
I recommend D3, but confirm you also get RoS; otherwise it doesn't add value
