so i just gt this board and installed all the drivers but im stil having issues with the networking: 1. the wifi needs to be deactivated and reactivad after every reboot for it to work (yellow triangle in device manager ..idk) 2. and the 2.5 gig realtek port (device manager looks normal) gets an ip from the 169.254.x.x range which google told me is a dhcp error but idk where to go from there. read that a lot of people have issues with their 2.5 gig ports though so im asking for help, thanks guys

Using the internet, did you download the manufacturer's drivers or let Windows locate and install them automatically?

Gigabytes site. Because I didn’t have any network connection after the MBO install, I needed to download all the drivers on a different machine and set them up offline.

And just a joke, but is Windows completely up-to-date? I’m asking really clearly—fully updated, no doubt. Try to force it to look for updates until it can’t find anything left.

I want to see if there are any optional settings available. I've been running for about a week using a USB hub Ethernet port because the built-in one isn't working, and I'm not restarting Wi-Fi each time.

For those who might be curious, I resolved the issue by using Device Manager first. Then I updated the drivers, selected them manually, and chose a generic PCIE Ethernet option instead of the pre-labeled gaming ones. It now functions perfectly.

I personally tested the newest Realtek chipset driver—it could be newer than the motherboard maker’s release. Relying on generic solutions might miss out on hardware offloading benefits, though that’s usually not a major issue. Ideally, keeping these features helps with CPU performance.
