Hey there, I'm sharing this with a friend who's having trouble with his two monitors suddenly shutting off during gameplay. The issue isn't consistent—some games trigger it while others don’t, like Roblox versus League of Legends. It doesn’t seem to be related to overheating or hardware problems. If you have any details about the specs or want more info, feel free to ask. Thanks in advance for your help!

The system fans, keyboard, mouse, etc., continue running even when the monitor loses signal. This might indicate a driver crash. A quick fix is to download Display Driver Uninstaller, boot into Safe Mode, remove the graphics drivers, and then reinstall an older driver from the GPU manufacturer to check if the problem remains. -Thread moved to Troubleshooting-

The rest of the PC functions normally, and you can still hear game sounds or Discord calls even when the monitors are off. I’ll experiment with what you mentioned and make updates in the coming days!

Do you connect your monitors using a display port cable, and is the setup consistent across both units?

Both screens connect via DisplayPort technology.

When it occurs, what should you do? Is a restart necessary to restore the display? If you wait, does it recover after some time? Does the game music cease if left unattended? You can try unplugging and reconnecting the monitor. A good starting point is checking the GPU details—make sure the model and make are correct.

Restarting the computer resolves the issue, though waiting doesn’t help. The GPU is an RTX 3070, which gives more insight because it came with a prebuilt PC and isn’t labeled by the manufacturer. I can verify this later, but it’ll take a few days. I’ll give it a try!
