Motherboard: Asus Prime H-510 I’m facing an issue with my PC. When trying to power it on, it displays "USB device over current status detected" and then shuts down after 15 seconds. I’ve watched several YouTube tutorials and tried them, but nothing helped. I unplugged all USB devices—keyboard, mouse, headphones—but the problem persists. I’m unsure if it’s a hardware issue and wonder if fixing it at home is possible or if I should take it to a repair shop.

You mentioned disconnecting all USB devices from the back of your motherboard, did you also take out the front panel USB 2.0 and 3.0 connectors? These can short out over time due to wear and oxidation. Also, remove any components connected to the board such as drives, and reset the CMOS by removing the CR2032 battery cell and reinserting it after a few minutes or so. If the warning persists, unfortunately the motherboard will require repair or replacement.

I just removed all USB devices, even disconnecting the front panel USB port from the motherboard. Only the CPU and RAM are visible on the board. Still nothing changes.

Maybe it's out of warranty. I changed it once before.

It seems the device requires fixing. If fixing isn't possible, consider replacing it. H510 models are affordable and most budget options support an i3-10100 processor.

It seems the controller might be faulty. I've encountered many similar cases before, most of which required a return for replacement.
