Hey everyone, my PC is having some strange behavior. It powers on and off really fast—just in a second or so. I've checked everything online and tried fixing it: swapped parts, cleaned out RAM, GPU, and hard drives, reconnected cables carefully. But the power cycle keeps happening.
Specs: Asus Maximus vii ranger motherboard, Intel Z97 chipset, i7-4770s CPU, Asus GTX 1050 Ti GPU, 12GB RAM, HyperX HyperBox, 120GB SSD and 500GB HDD.
The only time it booted normally was when I removed the CMOS battery, disconnected the PSU and CMOS for about an hour, then put everything back together. After that, the PC would start working again—usually lasting 2 to 3 days. Now it happens again, and I'm really worried.
If the motherboard is dead, it wouldn't boot after what I did. All other parts seem fine when using Windows. Could anyone help me figure this out? Thanks a lot!
Attempted fix but issue persists. CMOS cleared and PC disconnected overnight. Restarted with battery in, but still loops on power after shutdown.
