I need to refresh this space before I relocate, and I should definitely invest in 4Gbit Hynixes. These memory modules seem to be unstable at high speeds—recently I switched one out and it’s been running smoothly at 2912C11 stable for an hour, whereas the old setup would crash within minutes. It might be worth getting a modular PSU since the tangled cables are really frustrating. Having them unplugged would make things much easier to move around, unlike the bulky old monitor with its scattered fans and heatsinks. Something like a 3466 18-20-20-20 would likely fit the bill.
Glasses are essential. The more, the better. 5900X performs well, though it requires strong cooling once you begin optimizing it.
I installed an additional fan and ran memtest86 and Linpack at 3600MHz CL18-22-22, achieving an average of 285.76, which cleared all tests. Updated: CL18-21-21 scored 288.77 in Linpack, possibly indicating better performance... Updated 2: Scores drop to 241.07 in 6-core mode instead of 4+4, aiming for lower latency in gaming; Linpack average is shown as IMG_20240804_142005_330.jpg.
