Device Shutting Down During High Usage
Recently my gaming PC shuts down unexpectedly during gameplay. All peripherals power down, but the computer stays on. I have to manually turn it off with the power button and then restart it. This issue occurs only under heavy usage, not when idle or during normal operation. My system specs are: GPU GTX 1050Ti 4GB, CPU Ryzen 5 1400MHz, motherboard Mobo, power supply 500W, RAM 2x8GB 3000Mhz, SSD WD SN550, HDD Seagate 1TB. The problem seems linked to the PSU since it’s five years old.
The PSU offers no more than 450W to the 12V rail, which seems like a low-quality design. It’s likely a significant improvement over what you have now—even an S12III would be better than this model.
