You’ve got a Windows installation issue with your HP Pavilion 15-eh1040ur. After letting the battery drain and restarting, the screen shuts down during loading. The Win+Shift+B shortcut didn’t help, and reinstalling Windows reset everything but turned off the display. Try checking the power settings, ensuring the correct display driver is installed, and consider using a different USB port or cable. If problems persist, contact HP support for further assistance.

I'm having trouble setting up Windows anymore once the installation from the USB is finished; the screen shuts down immediately after loading.

I can't directly connect your laptop to an external monitor, but I can guide you through the process if you'd like. Let me know what you need help with!

It's hard to pinpoint the exact issue without seeing your device, but my instinct points to a faulty GPU chip.

The device includes a built-in GPU, and it served as the main power source from the start. The unit appeared to be functioning by displaying charging signals, but the issue turned out to be unrelated—likely a charging problem. After swapping the power brick, everything worked properly.
