Lenovo G460 features two 2GB RAM modules, both functioning well over several months. It includes an Intel i5 processor, integrated with a GeForce 310 graphics card, paired with a 860 EVO 1TB Samsung SSD. The system runs Windows 11 Home with TPM 2.0 bypass enabled.

The temperatures seem quite high, especially given the system's age. They might actually help in diagnosing the issue with this old device.

CPU operates between 70-89°C recently, similar to a few months back when it reached 93°C now it stays under 89°C. GPU temperature was about 79°C previously.

It's underway... and likely handling the game through the pagefile on the SSD.

That only slows things down. If the SSD begins to fragment and files get damaged, it might start up, but the real issue is probably overheating.

The process isn't affected by being on an SSD; fragmentation happens regardless of storage type.

The laptop has worked well at the temperature for several years, around two years already.

Have you ever used a dust blower or something similar to clean your laptop? Dust can accumulate inside, affecting its ability to cool properly over time. SSDs are built this way—when a sector fails, it gets replaced, until there aren’t enough spare spots left. This process can lead to corrupted files, which is why manufacturers include a lifetime percentage in their designs.
