System shuts down during heavy workload. Details available for the repeatable scenarios. The problem appears only on this machine, since other surge protectors still function. When the PC powers off, all outputs and RGB lights except a few on the motherboard cease. The system won’t restart after pressing the power button unless I manually turn off and then back on the PSU. Examples of occurrences: Playing Apex with video on a second monitor, consistently every few hours while heavily modded Minecraft with video also playing. After completing a two-hour stability test using AIDA64 for CPU, FPU, RAM, and GPU, the system performed normally (screenshots attached). [My thoughts] The main pattern seems to be full system operation combined with video playback on the secondary display. I assumed it was a PSU fault, but if AIDA64 didn’t expose issues, it might relate to the video stream. This is quite puzzling. Any insights would be appreciated. [System Specifications] OS: Windows 11 64 bit MOBO: ASUS Prime X570-P CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x3d RAM: 2x16GB G.SKILL Trident Z Neo Series GPU: EVGA FTW3 3080Ti Storage: Samsung 970 EVO 2TB PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G5, 80 Plus Gold 1000W EDIT: *No overclocking profiles on GPU or CPU are present Edited January 22, 2024 by JhonConners

Looking for the best CPU cooler, checking performance under stress, ensuring the latest BIOS updates, confirming the MultiPlane Overlay is off, and testing combinations like Priem95 Blend with Furmark. Also reviewing SSD temperature data.

CPU cooler: thermalright peerless assassin 120 maintains stable temperatures around 80°C, confirmed by AIDA64 screenshots. BIOS is current as of July 2023. The MultiPlane Overlay feature was evaluated, but Prime95 Blend + Furmark wasn’t tried. Would that impact stability more than the AIDA64 system tests? CPU and GPU consistently reached full performance, while the SSD test wasn’t included in the stress scenario. I can re-run it now to check.

Consider turning off MPO first. It seems the hardware video acceleration for the video in the browser on the second screen might be the issue causing the crashes.

Looking into that MPO usually stops GPU acceleration. Since you've turned it off in Chrome, it likely won't be affected.

The issue remains unresolved. It seems the shutdown occurs at a critical moment, suggesting a power supply unit problem.
