System crashes entirely, clock ticks forward but won't engage. It's not a visual glitch—no response to power-off, needs a full reset. OS setup: Fedora 37 with Windows 10 (both 64-bit). Have been using Fedora only recently, where these freezes occur. Ran memtest86+ for several hours, completed all checks, planning another longer test. Hardware specs: AMD 7950X, Asus X670E-I, Corsair Vengeance RGB 5200MHz, 64GB RAM, Asus Turbo 2070 Super. Second-hand components: Firecuda 510, 2TB Samsung 990 Pro. Prices are inflated for NVIDIA and Firecuda; current deals are subpar.

Based on my observations, if it freezes this way, it could be due to a failing hard drive, a faulty SATA cable, or a worn-out CPU that can no longer function properly. Could you share the ages of your CPU, hard drives, and SATA cables?

It might help to run CHKDSK with the /r and /r options. If that fails, consider checking the disk, SATA cable, or CPU.
