Hello everyone! I’m trying to figure out a persistent issue with my PC setup that’s been going on for over three years now. My system runs Windows 10, and I’ve kept the same hardware: a Ryzen 5 2400g CPU, Radeon RX590 GPU, Asrock B450 Pro4, and GSKILL Ripjaws 8x2 at 3GHz. Recently, whenever I power off or use a shutdown command to restart after a delay, the monitor fails to appear—no signal detected.

I’ve tried several fixes: connecting an HDMI cable directly from the motherboard to the GPU port, using an APU to capture the display, booting into safe mode, running DDU, and then reattaching the HDMI cable. After these steps, the GPU works properly, and I’ve even reinstalled the driver. However, when I say “no image,” I don’t see the Asrock splash screen that usually appears with BIOS options or boot device selection.

I haven’t made any changes to my PC in months, but this problem started just a few days ago and has been really frustrating. I’ve adjusted some BIOS settings hoping it might help, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. I’m not sure how to troubleshoot further or if there are logs I can review to get more insight.

Edit 1: There’s a switch on the GPU; flipping it changed the behavior. It seems to adjust clock speeds as a backup, but those settings match what I see now.
Edit 2: After flipping the switch and updating the latest WHQL AMD driver via Adrenalin, the problem persists—no display at all.

Thanks for your help!

It's a BIOS toggle. The graphics card needs two BIOS versions.
