Installed the PCIe X1 Wi-Fi adapter and laptop Wi-Fi module, but upon restarting the PC the SATA SSD remains unused at 100% capacity, forcing Windows to reinstall. Configuration steps were followed: AsRock B365M Pro4 with Intel 9600/RX480/5 SATA drivers, tested on other machines. No video card detection occurred post-installation (ASUS B85M-K with Intel CPU/RX480/2 SATA drives). After a cold boot the next day, the issue persisted. Possible reasons: insufficient lane availability for the adapter? The problem emerged only after extended power-off periods? Seek advice if needed.

Check the exact location of the power connection on the motherboard. Have you considered changing the SATA port connections?

Tried changing SATA ports as well, but the issue persisted. The module is an Atheros QCWB335 with Bluetooth. After looking into the topic, I attempted again using an Atheros AR9485 (no Bluetooth), a salvaged laptop from a broken device, and it worked fine. I found out that for Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth compatibility, you need an adapter with a USB connector to transfer BT data through it—only two pins (USB D+ and USB D-), though some adapters include a ground wire. This is quite frustrating. I think I should consider buying a BT USB dongle if necessary. I’ll keep an eye on the situation in the coming days and return if I encounter the same problem, hoping it doesn’t happen. Thanks.
