I own an old Gigabyte G41MT-S2 (rev 1.4) motherboard. Each time I power on the PC it shuts off and restarts right away, displaying a CMOS check error before turning back on. After several attempts, I’ve cleared the CMOS, replaced the battery, and flashed the newest BIOS for that board—still the same 2011 version. No improvement.
Yes, after completely powering off. But the time resets & also that CMOS checksome error. I don't think this is a normal process.
All configurations start from the default. I don’t usually push the processor beyond its limits or adjust the BIOS settings. It’s just a small hassle that requires resetting the time each day. Probably some issues are outside our control. Thanks a lot for your time and assistance. I truly value it.
