I built this machine on August 8, 2023 using a mix of new and existing components (see checklist). Problems only appeared after turning it off overnight and restarting the next day. Initially, I checked with DOCP to confirm RAM functionality – it worked. After powering down, disconnecting all cables and resetting CMOS didn’t resolve the issue; the BIOS was up to date. I tried various fixes but noticed improvement today. I removed the USB-C cables connected to my case (there were two) suspecting they might be cycling power and causing shutdowns. When I did, the RAM lights stayed on immediately. After reconnecting the power cable to the PSU, it started working again. I’ve attached images showing the RAM lights remaining active post-shutdown (power cables removed). The BIOS version is F8B. Links: imgur, Github links for reference. Hardware includes a Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Scythe cooler, Gigabyte B650, ASUS RTX 3080, and the listed cases and PSU.
