Hello, I’m trying to figure out a puzzling issue. I recently upgraded several parts of my old computer: a Rayzen 5500 processor, a GTX 1660 gaming graphics card, an SSD with 1TB capacity, and other components. The previous setup included a Gigabyte AX370-Gaming motherboard with updated BIOS (F51g), Corsair Vengeance RAM (2x8GB at 3200 MHz), a Corsair 750i power supply, and a 1TB HDD. I backed up the C: drive using Acronis and restored it to the SSD, which now boots from there. The rest of the system still runs on the HDD. Recently, the screen goes black, loses signal, and the case buttons stop responding. The fans spin, but the motherboard lights up—only the power button or the cable/PSU can shut it down. I’m unsure if the Windows update caused this, since the buttons should work if it was a Windows issue. My goal is to fix it and get back to playing games. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You've made major changes to your PC yet still rely on the Windows setup tailored for older hardware. Ideally, you should have transferred Windows onto the SSD and applied all necessary drivers. Consider an in-place installation. Use the Windows Media Tool and download the ISO of the version you own (from Microsoft's site), then launch the installer from Windows. Once finished, ensure all required drivers and programs are installed. This should resolve the issue. If problems persist, a complete reinstall on a USB or DVD drive may be necessary.

It seems you're wondering if the issue might come from the BIOS causing a crash, making it impossible to shut down via buttons. You're also concerned about trying to reinstall Windows due to software and setting difficulties.
