Hi everyone, I've been facing an issue with a RAM slot on my motherboard. It runs at 3000 MHz on that specific slot but not 3200 MHz. The other slots are fine. It's not too critical for me, but I'm curious about the cause.

It seems you haven’t provided any information about the system you’re referring to. Could you share more details so I can assist you effectively?

It seems you're checking your hardware setup. Do you have a different stick available for testing? Also, are you using two or four RAM modules to achieve 32GB?

Which RAM slots are installed? This board uses a daisy chain configuration, and incorrect slots may hinder performance.

I've already tested various sticks, and I'm using 3 sticks of RAM because I'm not very smart.

You're pairing A2 and B2 for the 16GB kit, while using A1 for the 16GB stick.

Think strategically about your setup. In an unbalanced mode, the stick not paired properly may be causing performance issues, likely affecting the CPU's IMC. Consider swapping one 16GB stick for a matching 8GB or using two sticks in dual-channel mode if possible. Verify your manual to confirm correct slot placement and channel compatibility based on stick size.

Do that and follow up, this should work until you find a match for the single stick you have. I should note that combining sets might also create issues because the sticks probably have different chips inside, and some simply don’t get along with others, leading to complications. Even though mixing sets is common without major problems, it’s important to ensure all sticks in your system are the same size and make/model.
