I handle repairs at a tech shop and this laptop has me puzzled. Windows shows in the event viewer that the processor is overheating and then shuts down. It happens randomly, not linked to normal use. I ran tests and it never reached more than 84°C, and it didn’t hibernate during those tests. Later, when I start it up and open a program, it again goes into hibernation with the viewer saying the processor was too hot. I’m not sure the sensor is broken, but it’s possible the hardware could be sensitive. Is there a way to stop hibernation if the system thinks it’s overheating? The CPU should have built-in protections against this issue.
