Hi, I’ve tried all the methods I could think of to figure out this issue (I’m not afraid to admit I’m not completely tech-savvy). But I’m starting to feel overwhelmed and I’m hoping someone can help. The problem seems to originate from when I first set up the system a few years back. Now it’s happening more often, to the point where I can’t use the PC at all. Essentially, after startup, the computer goes into two modes: one normal operation with fans running at normal speed, and another unstable state where fans spin up to near maximum RPM while I’m logged in. This causes the screen cursor to jump around, slows down program launches, and creates a noticeable lag. Sometimes the CPU usage spikes to 50% even when no background apps are running. After some time, the PC suddenly shuts down randomly. Occasionally, I see a BSOD, but most of the time it just cuts off without warning. I’ve gone through basic troubleshooting—cleaned the drive, updated BIOS, installed fresh OS, checked updates, used reliability tools, and inspected event logs—but nothing has helped. My PC specs are listed as GIGABYTE X570, Aorus Pro Wifi, AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, etc. I haven’t performed any hardware tests yet, though I’m not sure if the power supply is the issue. Certainly not PSU. My initial thought is that the motherboard RAM speed is around 2133 MHz. That’s quite slow. Is XMP enabled? Or is it an older or OEM kit with a JEDEC 2133 socket? Turn on XMP if the RAM supports it. If it’s just a JEDEC OEM RAM or very old, send a screenshot of the burner and check if setting it to 3200/3800 MHz improves performance.
