I’m seeking some guidance regarding my PC problems. I have an RTX 3090 and 5900X running on a custom water loop with ample power and RAM. I’ve been playing Elder Scrolls online, which isn’t a demanding game. It usually runs at around 100fps without stressing the GPU or CPU beyond 40% usage or pushing temperatures over 40°C. Recently, my PC has started shutting down abruptly at random times—sometimes during boss fights, other times just when I walk through a door and load. It happens twice in a row. Despite using air conditioning, running Cinebench showed full CPU saturation at 51°C, and stress tests didn’t trigger any issues. Time monitoring apps also reported no problems. I suspect the issue lies with the game’s high load, which seems to overload the system unexpectedly. I recently maxed out my hardware and still managed to keep it running, but now I’m worried about potential damage. This situation is frustrating, especially with my recent financial stress. Make sure you have all the latest drivers (chipset, lan, video, etc.). I would probably avoid updating the BIOS though, as you're having shutdown issues... If your pc shuts off while updating the BIOS, you may need a new motherboard at that point... so best to avoid that first. Do you have the full specs of the PC? Could help us narrow down the issue more. It's possible it's the psu. Does it only happen in that game? What about other games?

It generally shows the fixes in the log file. Just enter "repaired" in the notebook search bar. Your motherboard and power supply are solid, so those can be ignored. I’d run each part through standard tools like OCCT, TM5, 3D FurMark, etc., to see which one performs best.
I ran it through rigorous stress tests. Aida 62, cinebench, timespy, timespy extreme, port royal. It rarely crashes even after extended sessions, though the game occasionally freezes with less than 40% usage. On average, it crashes 1-2 times every three hours. I boosted my GPU power settings to ensure consistent performance. Initially, it worked—lasting six hours without interruption. But then it failed again last night. I’ve been playing this game for three weeks without any problems until now.
