I recently acquired a second-hand graphics card at a reasonable price and have been using it for about two years. I was planning to upgrade my PC, which was previously a GTX 1050 Ti. After installation, I discovered an issue and have been unable to resolve it over the last few days. I'm feeling really drained and have given up hope. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated. What I've done so far: I performed around ten stress tests on the RTX 3060 Ti, running each for about 10 minutes. However, every time it reached 7-8 minutes, the system would crash. I know it's not overheating—GPU temperature is around 78°C, and the GPU hotspot is near 89°C. The power draw is approximately 199.91W. I also tested the CPU and RAM under stress without any crashes. The stress tests were conducted using OCCT, with the following components: MSI A320M Gaming Pro CPU (Ryzen 5 2600, pending my Ryzen 5 5600x), MSI RTX 3060 Ti Ventus 2x OC RAM from ADATA (3200MHz, 8x2), WD Blue 1TB SSD, and Gigabyte M.2 256GB storage. The PSU is a Cooler Master GX 550w Bronze (10 years old).

It's good to know its age, as the extra power usage of the 3060 Ti could be exceeding limits. Consider using a friend's power supply or take it to a repair shop for testing with another unit.

Could it actually be the power supply unit? The shutdown or sleep mode—showing a black screen, keyboard light when I click, and RGB lighting on RAM—only occurs during gaming or when I run stress tests solely on the GPU.

It would make sense because your 2600x model doesn’t consume much power, so even a degraded power supply can still run it properly. However, the GPU uses significantly more power, making it worth considering.

Consider the power requirements of your components and aim for a PSU with at least 550 watts to ensure stability.

I'm running a 5600X with a 3060 Ti and the maximum power usage is near 400W during full CPU and GPU load tests (including an HDD, three SSDs, some fans, RGB, and two 24-inch monitors). When idle, it draws less than 100W. If you need to upgrade your PSU, models over 500W should work fine. Prices for 500W to 750W PSUs are similar now, making it a straightforward decision. Regarding your 3060 Ti performance issues, it seems the crashes happen only during stress tests. You can skip those tests and use it normally. If crashes occur while gaming or working, consider lowering the Power Limit using MSI Afterburner or similar tools. This will reduce performance slightly but still make the card significantly stronger than your 1050 Ti.
