Device powering off during gameplay or high-stress scenarios
Hey there, newcomer. I've been dealing with this PC for about two months now. It keeps shutting down unexpectedly while gaming or under stress, without any blue screens or warnings—just a sudden restart. I've tried all sorts of fixes: swapped out the power supply, replaced the graphics card (which I flipped back when it didn't help), reinstalled drivers, reformatted the system, booted into Linux, ran with just one RAM stick at a time, ran disk tests, even checked my electricity supply. Nothing stuck. Eventually, I took it to a nearby store, and they diagnosed it as a CPU issue. They replaced it, but when I came back, it kept restarting during Diablo IV. They said the new CPU was fine after thorough testing, but since I'm still here, you might want to check if something else is at play—maybe a faulty MOBO or another hardware quirk. Can anyone help me narrow this down before the weekend? Here are the specs: a new Core reactor 850W PSU, and a HWInfo export from just before shutdown (you can find it in your Google Sheets under 'gaming.CSV'). Let me know if you need more details or tests. Thanks! P.S. I added the PSU info to the sheet for your reference.
Avoiding downloads from random websites is fine. What’s the weather like in that 5600? Have you completed the typical Windows updates? Think about upgrading your motherboard’s BIOS to the newest release?
No worries. If you feel better, just added to google sheets ( HWINFO Gaming before shutsdown - Google Sheets ), will edit in the post. The temperatures are fine, just as the old 3600. Did all the updates and the bios is in the latest version, I needed to update to use the ryzen 5600.
