Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I'm experiencing an issue with my Lenovo Legion 5, which has a Ryzen 5 4600 and RTX 2060. It was functioning perfectly two days ago, but today while gaming it became unstable. The GPU temperature was around 72°C, yet the hotspot reached 102°C. It seemed normal until now. I haven't adjusted any settings recently, and I'm unsure what might have caused this change. Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Is the device positioned on a level area? Are the fans operating correctly? Is there any noticeable accumulation of debris obstructing the exhaust? When was the most recent cleaning performed?
It lay on a surface with rotating fans providing strong ventilation. The last maintenance occurred about two months prior, during which I also replaced the laptop's thermal paste. Everything functioned smoothly until recently.
It seems like the problem might be with the hardware itself. The fans could be malfunctioning, the thermal paste might have been applied incorrectly or is degraded, there might be insufficient force on the heatsinks, or debris could be blocking the exhaust vents.
I bet I’d go with increasing pressure. They really crave it a lot.
