I've spent a lot of time working with computers, mostly on my own. This year I built a new system, but unexpectedly it's overheating. I'm monitoring the core temperature on my second monitor, but it gets tricky when the screen goes dark. It seems like my CPU is probably the issue—I usually don't overclock my hardware. I have a Ryzen 7 5700G with a quiet loop 120mm fan. What could be missing? My case is open due to a faulty tower I'm replacing, but it has 120mm fans. I might need help with my MSI B550-A PRO motherboard since it only shows two CPU fan connectors and the closed water cooler needs three.
Check the displayed temps in MSI Afterburner while gaming for a clear overlay view.
The temperatures are completely typical within the game environment.
I experienced my PC failing twice while running Anno 1800, believing the fourth failure would be perfect. Regarding your GPU, it can become quite warm during intense gameplay.
What graphics card are you using? Typically it should be under 95-100°C for current AMD models and under 85°C for Nvidia ones, though 90°C is acceptable during heavy stress tests. The issue doesn’t appear related to heat levels—it might be another problem.
