I returned from work and my PC was running smoothly earlier. Once I powered it on, it would suddenly freeze and stop functioning. I attempted various fixes—pressing control+alt+delete, using shift+esc in Task Manager, testing different USB devices and displays, even holding the power button to cut power—but nothing resolved the issue. I also checked that Windows updates were paused and hadn’t updated recently. After using DDU to uninstall and reinstall the latest AMD Adrenalin drivers, it worked. I then played CSGO for about half an hour, but halfway through a match my computer froze again, with lower frame rates and some stutters. When I turned it back on after logging in, it kept freezing. TL;DR: my PC freezes unexpectedly regardless of activity, temperatures are normal, and even after driver updates, the problem persists across different tasks. It happens whether I’m playing games or just browsing.

Hello, good evening. I think this might be related to a power supply, operating system, or memory failure. Could you provide the log files? The C:\WINDOWS\system32\config folder would be useful, or you can check them in Event Viewer. That would really assist in identifying the problem and finding solutions. Also, any additional details such as whether safe boot works or if it loads into BIOS would be helpful. Let me know if I can assist you, J0e.

Bios appears to function properly. It remained stable on the BIOS display for about fifteen minutes without any freezing issues.

I see this as a final attempt since I've had to reinstall Windows multiple times on this exact machine recently. If it doesn't work, I'll give it another shot.

You could also attempt a fresh installation of the BIOS.

power supply is a solid thermaltake 700w I purchased new about two years ago. ram’s uncertain too, since I bought it brand new and corsair is a reputable brand. operating system is windows 10, and i’ve faced issues before. every few months i’d need to reinstall windows because it would randomly boot into the repair screen and block any changes. that happened on a different setup than my current one, which hasn’t occurred since a full upgrade. (the only original parts from two years ago are the sata ssd, hdd, psu, and memory). after that, i switched to a 128gb nvme ssd for windows boot drive. now it’s nearly impossible to access event viewer because the computer freezes and shuts down before i can view anything. pc just powers off and restarts after being turned on.

After restarting, it seems your PC is entering a strange boot cycle. No output appears on the screen, but the keyboard and microphone are cycling on and off. It looks like the power supply is fluctuating, possibly due to the lights turning off unexpectedly.

Received another update—just received a new screen, but no input function worked. Restarted it and tried again, ended up on the Windows login page. Odd. (Apologies for sending too much info.)
