Powered up a motherboard for the first time and felt a pop with a burning smell. It seems like a microcontroller might have short-circuited. After turning it off, everything appears to function correctly when you restart it. Consider seeking further guidance on troubleshooting steps.

It seems to be one of the VRM controller units. Would you like me to zoom in and locate it on your board?
