Device offline after restart.

I'm having trouble getting my PC to recognize the LAN cable after rebooting. The motherboard shows the port as detected, but the LED flashes when connected. I've installed the latest drivers from MSI and updated the BIOS to version 2022-12-20. I've tried different cables, used a tester, and even tested with another device. My concern is whether the two LAN ports are faulty or if this is just a software issue that can be fixed with an update.

Have you checked the Intel website for the latest driver updates? As an AMD user, I visit it mainly for my network drivers.

I also installed the Intel update driver tool, which suggested updates for Bluetooth and WiFi. After applying both updates, I restarted my system and lost the LAN connection.

If you visited the Intel website, saved your Ethernet drivers, removed the network adapters via Device Manager, and then reinstalled them yourself, you could have Wi-Fi active as a fallback option.

If i wake up i will new install win 11 and download the drivers from the Intel site. You think it is an Software Problem. I only found one forum from 2013 where one guy had an similiar problem with an msi motherboard and they believe it was an Hardware problem.

We start by examining the software first. Only after that should we move to hardware. If the issue remains, it’s probably a hardware problem.

I updated the latest BIOS to version 2022-12-27 and reinstalled Windows using the proper LAN and Wi-Fi drivers. After restarting, the connection disappeared.

Try using a different cable to another port on your switch or router. This makes swapping hardware much simpler.
