Device not found for audio output.
Hey! I'm trying to fix the laptop that crashed unexpectedly last night. Now it doesn't produce any sound and can't hear anything. I've already done a few things: uninstalled and reinstalled Realtek audio drivers, installed dedicated Lenuvo drivers from their site, used the Windows 10 audio troubleshooter, and restored a backup from a few days ago. Personally, I think the problem might be hardware-related, possibly with her sound chip. Before jumping into repairs, I'd love to hear more details if you need them.
I connected her microphone and noticed it has a built-in audio output, but the sound isn’t coming through.
When you power off Windows 10, it doesn’t immediately shut down; instead, it enters a low-power state and keeps its data intact. To truly turn it off, follow a specific process that you can easily reset afterward. Start by opening the Control Panel, then select Hardware and Sound under Power Options, and choose the settings for power button behavior. Make sure to click “Change settings that are currently unavailable” if needed. Uncheck the option for fast startup and save your changes. Close all applications and press the power button to shut it down. Allow a few minutes for the system to complete its tasks before returning to the main screen. It may take a bit longer than usual, but everything should function properly afterward. This step is optional but recommended to ensure everything is up to date.
