I've only ever seen my GPU in a PCI slot here, but I added a USB card. The devices get power but don't show up in Windows. I tried two more slots with the same issue. Placed the card on another computer and it worked. Any suggestions? Windows 10.

Certain PCIe ports overlap with M.2 slots and might be turned off when a M.2 SSD is present. If the devices appear in Device Manager, it may mean the drivers aren’t installed automatically—you’ll need to install them yourself.

I have an M.2 drive, but I noticed the motherboard (ASUS PRIME B450-PLUS) seems to use the bandwidth from SATA ports instead of its PCI slots. That shouldn’t impact all the PCI ports, should it? Thanks for the suggestion, though. Any other ideas? I’ve verified the firmware and checked everything else—just confused why other PCI ports wouldn’t show up in Windows.

Looking for compatible accessories for your ASUS Prime B450-PLUS? The PCI x1 USB card is a good fit, but let me know if you need more options.

Yes, having separate power and data connectors on a PCIe slot is important. Have you checked if the GPU shows up in Device Manager or the BIOS? Also, make sure you power down the PC before handling the cards.

I mean why the x4 and x1s are all not working the same way but the GPU on the x16 is working fine. I did not put the GPU in the other PC, the GPU is already working fine. You think maybe it's causing the other PCI lanes not to work? They do not appear in Device Manager and no new hardware gets picked up automatically or on manual scan. Nothing in BIOS. Shut off and unplugged, yes.

It seems like you're expressing frustration about the product quality. You might want to confirm if you have the right driver or if the item is of poor quality.

Used the included installer, but the device wasn't found—no entry in Device Manager for new or unknown. Functioned properly on a different computer without needing extra drivers.

Performed an alternative BIOS update via direct installation instead of the manufacturer's utility, and all PCI slots function correctly. Appreciate the advice, everyone.
