I recently added a Kingston NV2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD to my HP 250 G7 notebook. In the BIOS it was detected and also in Device Manager, yet the SSD isn’t listed in Disk Manager—it only shows up with the factory HDD. While checking memory events via Device Manager I noticed a specific error.

The setup for SCSI\Disk&Ven_NVMe&Prod_KINGSTON_SNV2S10\5&36cb7a8&0 was not carried over from the prior OS setup because of an incomplete or unclear device identification. The last known instance ID is USBSTOR\Disk&Ven_General&Prod_UDisk&Rev_5.00\6 with a matching status of false.
