They mentioned it could be upgraded easily, but it seemed forced to highlight upgrades for the CPU and GPU during my purchase.

When it debrands, what happens next? Removing your original DELL BIOS and switching to an ASUS BIOS might mean you lose access to the original BIOS if the ASUS version isn't permitted.

This won’t function properly. Installing an Asus BIOS on a different board isn’t supported and could damage it.
