Upgraded to a Ryzen 5 1600 AF from a Ryzen 3 1200. Installed CPU and fan correctly, but the system won’t boot. Fans spin but nothing else occurs. I checked updating the BIOS released in 2018, though my CPU is from 2019—this seems unusual. Am I in trouble? Possible fixes? Yes, I’ve updated my DELL motherboard BIOS to the 2018 version.

X370 models require a BIOS upgrade for the 1600AF because it's a second-generation chip.
