I own an older machine I've been using as a home server for Minecraft. The model is: https://www.newegg.com/gateway-dx4380-ur...6883113230. The main updates were in September—added another 16 GB of DDR3 RAM, cleaned the CPU and cooler, applied fresh thermal paste, and reinstalled the cooler. I relocated the server to a different room and connected it via Ethernet last month. It has been running continuously since then. Recently, when trying to access the server remotely, it failed to connect, and also couldn't reach the Minecraft server. I connected with a monitor and mouse but no display appeared. After holding the power button for about ten seconds, it shut down completely and hasn't restarted since. Notes: A8-Series APU A8-5500 (3.20GHz), 8GB DDR3 + 16GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, Windows 8 64-bit, AMD Radeon HD 7560D.

Disconnect the power source and take out the battery for a short time. Hopefully this will restart it. It seems the power supply could be the issue.

You disabled the power source, unplugged the machine, and removed the battery. After a short wait, it failed to start, emitting a loud high-pitched noise when the power cord was connected. The sound suggests the power supply is faulty. The documentation you found mentioned a 300W unit, but the label now says 550W. For a replacement, choose the higher wattage (550W) unless you have a specific requirement for 300W.
