Sure, I'd be happy to clarify what those numbers mean. Could you provide more context or details about the numbers you're asking about?

These two options manage when the CPU enters various low power states. I reviewed the powercfg report you shared and noticed it differed from your desktop’s settings. I adjusted my CPU to 100 and lost those power states. Your computer experienced the same issue. Occasionally, when dealing with problems like this, you might be fortunate. I was lucky to discover the reason. The only concern remains why a manufacturer would release such an update. It’s nearly impossible for anyone to deduce this on their own. This was done intentionally without your consent or awareness. To resolve the High Performance power plan, run the same four commands but change SCHEME_BALANCED to SCHEME_MIN.

Hi @unclewebb @Phani Pavan, I own the same laptop and tried the cmd method shared by unclewebb, but it didn’t work for me. Could you assist?

Check if you're running on Windows Balanced plan. The commands I shared only affect the Balanced plan. Your issue may differ from what @Phani Pavan encountered. Are you using Windows 10 or 11? Do all your C states stay at 0.0 when the computer is idle? Share more info and attach screenshots of your problem. Execute the command I provided so I can review your power plan settings. Include the report.txt file in your next post—it will be saved in your main C directory.

Hi UncleWebb, nice to reconnect! Yeah, I faced the same issue today. It was interesting how the CPU froze at 4.37GHz. After trying the commands as before, nothing changed. Then I switched the first value from '60' to '30' and ran `powercfg /setacvalueindex SCHEME_BALANCED SUB_PROCESSOR IDLEPROMOTE 30` with a single-threaded stress test on 4 threads. Initially the CPU held steady at 4.37GHz, but later it spiked to 4.6GHz. I recommend @Labrat8991, try that command, set the power plan to 'balanced', and see what happens. Thanks for the tip!

Also run `powercfg /setacvalueindex SCHEME_BALANCED SUB_PROCESSOR IDLEDEMOTE 15` to prevent the CPU frequency from spiking.

Hello, I changed to the balanced power plan before logging in via cmd, but the issue persisted. The report.txt file is from Windows 11. Please send the FYR power plan report and a screenshot taken shortly after restarting your laptop.

Looking for clarity on single-threaded stress tests. Recommended tools include ANSYS, MATLAB, and OpenFOAM.

While using cyberpunk intel XTU, I noted that under normal load the display reaches a maximum of x44 times its intended size.
