Device isn't starting, no video display, getting ready for a frustrated reaction
I got a motherboard, CPU, and RAM from a friend who had used it before. When I put everything into a dedicated case for server use, compatibility problems arose—especially with the power switch connectors and the front panel. The main issue was power delivery. As someone who likes to think ahead, I considered jump-starting the PSU using the green wire method. I separated the green and black wires and added a switch in between. It worked surprisingly well, getting all the fans running. However, when I connected a monitor, no video appeared—no display port or VGA support. I suspect it’s because the boot process doesn’t work that way. If anyone has had similar experiences, please share your advice. Thanks!
Consider reinstalling RAM and GPU. Resetting CMOS might also help. Check your board for correct GPU slot placement. Look up the motherboard manual online for guidance. Some systems display error codes to indicate issues. Certain boards require specific slot configurations.
