I’m facing a puzzling problem… My 3090 Aorus Xtreme still works, but when idle or browsing the web it goes dark and doesn’t respond. The only solution is to cut power and unplug the PSU for a few hours, which seems to get it back online. Sometimes I need to switch to an older 1080ti or enable integrated graphics to let the 3090 display properly. All fans and LEDs appear normal. The issue started after my PC shut down a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn’t wake it up when I returned. I removed the 3090 temporarily and used the 1080ti for a while. Recently, after reinstalling the latest NVidia driver, the display flickered off again. About 30 seconds later, the fans spiked to 100% and the GPU got very hot. When I shut it down, it became warm and I removed it. Inside the card there’s a loose PCB square—probably between the heatsink and outer shell. There are no visible labels except “D33006 RoHS” and a hard-to-read serial number. This part was a replacement from a previous RMA and seems to be linked to the rest of the GPU. I’m using a DP cable (DP1.2, 1440p at 165Hz) and ran DDU to reset the drivers completely. Everything looks up-to-date on BIOS and MOBO bios. Thanks for your assistance!
