I tried using third-party tools to copy my existing drive to an SSD and attempt booting, but the "improper boot device" message keeps appearing. Need some guidance on fixing this issue.

The ideal approach is to perform a complete, clean installation of Windows on the SSD. Once that’s finished, link the previous storage device and transfer your files—photos and documents—over. Cloning from an HDD to an SSD isn’t recommended. SSDs truly benefit from a fresh setup.

The optimal method for moving old files, settings, and apps from the HDD is recommended. Since your SDD clone runs smoothly on that machine, you can safely transfer everything there.

Does the BIOS recognize this unit? It detects the boot sector but refuses to load the BIOS.

Consider alternative cloning tools. Alternatively, use a Windows installation USB to resolve the boot issue.
