Device heating unexpectedly without warning.
It seems your MSI RX570 overheated unexpectedly. After a brief power-off, it resumed operation but quickly reached temperatures near 80°C, which is higher than its usual limit of 66°C.
The situation has never happened before and the processor isn't operating at maximum speed. I checked the PC this morning—it looks tidy, actually cleaned it about two months ago. Thanks for the update; the fans are running smoothly. No strange noises detected. Probably worth trying a thermal paste replacement, do you have any suggestions? The graphics card appears clean.
It's strange how it shifted its behavior so quickly, with everyone adjusting the same settings I had before.
MX-4 works well as a thermal paste. I steer clear of Noctua NT-H1 because it tends to push out over time under repeated heating and cooling cycles. After using MX-4 on my MacBook Pro, the issue didn’t occur. This is mainly relevant for direct die cooling systems in graphics cards and laptops. It’s reassuring not to notice any fan noise, which would indicate a problem with the cooling mechanism.
This situation has never occurred before... Should I consider upgrading to a new GPU? xD
Consider using DDU to reset the graphics drivers and reinstall them to check if the problem remains. If it does, run other GPU tests to determine the source. Persistent issues suggest failing VRAM. You can use MSI Afterburner to monitor memory speeds and reduce them slightly to confirm the problem.
