Last night I connected my router using Putty and a USB-to-TTL adapter because it was stuck. Then I had to install DDWRT since the default firmware wasn't functioning. Of course, being the person I am, I went overclocking without any reason. Now it's back to being bricked again and it freezes when reaching the DDR clock info. I've tried many fixes from 30-30-30 to using SSH/Telnet (which didn't work because I couldn't stay connected long enough to reset the nvram). If anyone could help me out from spending $200 on a new router, I'd be grateful forever and maybe send you $20 via PayPal.

Which router model are you using? On certain versions, clearing NVRAM can permanently damage the device. However, you might attempt: turn off the router, press and hold the WPS button, then power it back on while keeping the button pressed until the power indicator flashes a few times. When it stops flashing, release the button. If it doesn’t respond properly, it’s likely beyond repair.

Attempted repair, but didn't enter recovery mode. Device is a Nighthawk x6 R8000.

I think that's what I'm thinking. I'll check the Netgear and DDWRT communities online and see if anyone has a solution.

It's really costly to replace this router. I'm hoping you can repair it. My cousin uses the same one, so I wouldn't want to risk damaging it because of the high price. If possible, check if it's covered by warranty and consider returning it for exchange?

I received it for $50 since my friend upgraded and didn’t want to sell it at a different price. However, it’s too outdated to be covered by the warranty, even though I didn’t install KONG on it.
