Device for storing game save points on a network.
I was thinking about setting up a home network with a computer and a laptop that could share game saves and update them together. The idea was to have both devices connected to the same file share, with each having a shortcut in their respective game folders. I wondered if this would allow changes made on one device to automatically reflect on the other. Someone might have some insight into whether it could work. Thanks for your time!
I'm not familiar with Symlink by default. It's possible you're referring to symbolic links, which can behave differently depending on the network environment. Using them over Ethernet or Wi-Fi might cause issues such as path resolution delays or compatibility problems. For reliable guidance, check official documentation or trusted IT resources on setting up symbolic links across networks.
