You're looking at a compatible USB/BT dongle for your Intel 3165NGW. Yes, that should work. The Amazon link you shared points to a similar product that matches your device specs.

It features a secondary M.2 port. Since there’s no built-in WiFi, the connection is currently managed via Ethernet. For a more organized setup, especially on the outside or back, could this arrangement work?

If your motherboard lacks a dedicated M.2 Wi-Fi port, you’ll need to purchase a PCIe x1 to M.2 Wi-Fi riser or adapter card. Many available cards include built-in antennas, so simply insert the 3165 into the card and connect the antennas, then place it into an x1 slot and link the USB for Bluetooth if required.

The adapter won't fit properly in the secondary M.2 slot.

That's the one you mentioned in your initial message. It's an MPCIe adapter.

Could we adapt that card for the slot without going over $25? Otherwise, I’d likely skip it at Stay Wired.
