Hi, your PC has been off for a while, and when you power it back on it starts fans quickly, then shuts down again. After checking the motherboard, removing the RAM stick, and resetting BIOS with CMOS battery, it worked once and displayed the motherboard logo. Then I tried swapping RAM sticks, but only one worked reliably. Recently I reset everything and was able to boot into BIOS, but the monitor didn’t show anything. The specs are an i5 3570K without overclocking, 2x8 16GB HyperX Fury DDR3 at 1600MHz, Asus P8Z77-V, GTX 1050Ti 4GB Cerberus. I also noticed a previous issue with posting to BIOS that failed due to overclocking warnings, even though the BIOS settings were set correctly after replacing the CMOS battery. Please let me know if you need further guidance. Thanks!
I’m trying to assist. It seems my system has the same CPU and motherboard as yours. The issue I faced was about a dead memory channel, which is being removed. Stay patient and try to resolve it. My board has been broken for over five years. I’m glad to say mine is now working on one channel and I managed to install the OS. I hope this helps and I’ll keep an eye on this thread since you’re dealing with the same board and problem as me. Take care. --cmdr
I discovered the issue because the GPU wasn't properly connected. All parts were just sitting on the desk. Now it's working again, so I'm reinstalling Windows. It might have been Windows that caused the problem, but I'll keep you updated.
