Experiencing unexpected problems recently. Installed a 4090 as per my guidelines. The system runs games smoothly without freezes, crashes, or restarts. However, I’m now encountering no display or posts. It’s been nearly two weeks since the installation and the PC was functioning normally before. I’ve also connected the new Corsair 600W PCIe 5.0 power cable to the GPU. It appears to work after a restart, especially if it shuts down completely. This issue occurred once before, but today it seems to happen almost every time the computer starts up after a shutdown via the Windows Start menu. The Thermaltake AH T600 Snow Full Tower Case (white tempered glass) and the Kolink USB hub are in use. The Intel Core i9-12900K is installed with an LGA1700 socket, and the SSD is a 2TB WDS200T3X0C M.2 NVME drive. The CPU has an iCUE QL120 with RGB lighting, and the cooler is a Corsair Hydro series model.

In short, I think many 4090s are likely to encounter the same problem. Check this video for a clearer illustration than I could provide.

I don’t have a functioning phone right now to capture photos. I’ll take some tomorrow and upload them. I’ll demonstrate the cable configuration, but it doesn’t appear there’s any noticeable melting or rough bending around the wires. I’m still using the new Corsair 600W PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR Type-4 power cable. In the meantime, I’ll look into getting one of those cables they suggested at the beginning of the video.

I believe I've discovered the fix. After reviewing the Windows reliability monitor, the first error message indicated a hard disk failure. Running checkdisk resolved the issue, allowing each drive to start and shut down correctly. Progress is steady—still pending final confirmation.

I appreciate your submission. It's in black with some older components, but the R6 fractal definition works. Make sure all connectors stayed secure during the swap—both sides, including the PSU.
