Device fails to show on restart.
I own an older Lenovo workstation (M710t). Thinking I could pass it off to a family member after upgrading to a gaming PC, I reset it and transferred Windows from a local device. But now it’s not showing anything. The keyboard lights up and the power button shows green, so it’s receiving power. The indicator under the power button that signals disk activity flashes when I press Enter; this suggests something is occurring. However, nothing I do is preventing a screen from appearing. I checked all display output ports, but the monitor just says No Active Ports. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 15-7400 with 32 GB RAM at 2300 MHz, plus the rest are Lenovo proprietary.
What kind of motherboard do you have? Look at the Q-LED lights. A useful first step is to check the DP/HDMI port on your motherboard’s I/O and see if it sends a signal. If not, try taking out the GPU and then restarting the system. Reinserting it and rebooting often resolves the problem.
I don’t recognize the motherboard—it only shows Lenovo labels. There’s no GPU present; it only has built-in graphics that don’t perform well.
It could be the motherboard, CPU or RAM. It could also be software related. Since replacing anything won't be worth it, I would start with clearing cmos and updating your bios. According to desktops and all in ones :: thinkcentre m series desktops :: thinkcentre m710t - Lenovo Support NL , there's a bios update for win10-64. Good luck, hope it works out.
