I'm working on an ITX setup for my relative using parts I already had and a fresh motherboard. On Thursday (this Saturday), I turned it on just to verify everything was functioning. After that, I started installing Windows, which went smoothly today. When I powered it back up, all components worked—fans ran, RGB lights lit up, and the GPU activated. There were no error messages, no splash screen, and the speaker connected to the motherboard didn’t report any issues. I suspect the CPU might be the culprit since it’s quite old and hasn’t been used much after being replaced in a previous build where the motherboard failed. Before spending over $100, I’d appreciate hearing other people’s experiences. I’ve reinserted the RAM and GPU, double-checked all cables for proper connections, tested with and without the GPU, swapped out the SSD, tried various RAM options, updated monitors and cables, and even used a different monitor. The Ryzen 3 1300X, ASRock B550M-ITX, Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB, 3200MHz, Sapphire RX 570, Pulse Thermaltake Toughpower GF1, 750W, SP 512GB NVMe M.2, Fractal Node 304 are all in place.
Are you looking for an old-school speaker plug for the board? They provide indicator tones to help diagnose issues. If not, you might need to connect everything except the RAM stick and CPU.
I'm currently connecting one of those speakers to the board because there are no lights available for error detection
