I've upgraded my system with an AMD 3900X and Gigabyte x570 motherboard. For a couple of years I used 32GB (16x2) RAM at 3133MHz, but with heavy usage I ended up using 32GB (16x4). It worked for about a month before crashing unexpectedly. Clearing CMOS got it running again, but now XMP settings prevent it from booting properly. The RAM is now at 2133MHz. Would using 3600MHz RAM cause a noticeable slowdown compared to 3200/3600? Should I consider a higher-speed upgrade? A 64GB kit would likely cost around $300.
Have you attempted to turn on XMP and then adjust the frequency down to something lower, such as 3000? If you manage to get it running at least at 3000, it suggests you're likely in a satisfactory range, though running it below 3000 with Ryzen would be quite challenging due to the architecture's preference for faster RAM.
