Hello, I recently had to swap out my motherboard after the previous one failed. During the initial setup, the system didn’t power on right away, so I had to leave the PSU disconnected for a while before reconnecting it and repeatedly pressing the power button until it started. A forum user recommended reinstalling Windows, which resolved the issue and allowed the PC to run smoothly for about a week and a half afterward. Yesterday, I reassembled everything again—replacing the glass panel, PSU cover, and dust filter—and the same problem resurfaced. The machine still boots eventually, but I still need to unplug the PSU briefly, reconnect it, and then press the power button several times before it turns on. I’ve already tried rechecking all front panel connections during reassembly, but that didn’t help. Notably, when the PC finally turned on, Windows booted as though it were a brand new installation, wiping all saved data—like a system rollback. This time, Windows is working fine and my files remain intact. Also, the motherboard was receiving power, and I managed to charge my phone from the front panel Type-C port. Anyone have insights or solutions for this situation? IMG_0878.mov Edited August 9, 2025 by SimplyMoron

Use the power cable connector for your motherboard and PSU, making sure it matches the correct port. This might not be about the motherboard itself but rather the PSU.

You're repeatedly pressing the power button, so it might be a quick reset. Also, verify the PSU switch and run basic diagnostics such as BIOS updates or confirm proper Windows installation.

I've revised the bios for compatibility with Ryzen 7000 and set up a new Windows installation.
