I own my PC for nearly a year now. Recently, whenever I attempt to power it on, it tries but shuts down after a few seconds. Plugging in the power usually works most of the time. Now that I’ve come home, I noticed two lights on the motherboard flickering in and out. Normally it powers off when I press the power button, but now it spends about five seconds trying to boot, flashing red, then orange, and back to red before turning off again. What does this mean? I’m familiar with computers but not sure what these lights signify. I suspect a problem with my PSU, though I’m not certain. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Replace the RAM and test again; if unsuccessful, erase the CMOS and then start with one drive, if successful switch to dual drives.

Always share your specifications when seeking assistance with @Zennert. If you must replace the power cable before it functions, it’s probably a PSU problem.

Once the memory was repositioned, the system started up right away. That must have resolved the issue. Appreciate the help!
